Prenuptial agreements (‘prenups’)

Postnuptial agreements (‘postnups’)

Postnuptial agreements, or ‘postnups’, are less well known than prenups but they work in the same way. They are used if the couple are already married.

Postnups can be particularly useful if, after the marriage, one partner comes into wealth or assets, such as an inheritance from a relative.

They can also be used if a couple have temporarily separated and want to reconcile. The agreement can help you both to avoid conflict in future.
