  • Brachers’ legal expertise has been commended by the leading legal directory The Legal 500, with the firm being ranked in 14 practice areas, including five top tier rankings, and 33 lawyers recommended by the guide.

The Legal 500 has been analysing the capabilities of law firms across the world for over 30 years. Its directory highlights the practice area teams that provide the most cutting edge and innovative advice to individuals and businesses.

Research carried out by The Legal 500 is based on feedback from 300,000 clients worldwide, submissions from law firms, interviews with leading private practice lawyers, and a team of researchers. Receiving over 20 million page views each year, the Legal 500 guide offers those buying legal services in the UK, reliable and up-to-date information on law firms.

This year, Brachers saw five practice areas ranked in the highest tier possible: Personal tax, trust and probate; Commercial property; Corporate and commercial; Debt recovery, and Public sector.

Client feedback noted that ‘Brachers has the personal touch’, with one commenting that our lawyers’ key strengths are ‘building real relationships with their clients and then offering joined up support in a breadth of legal scenarios.’

Of the 33 individuals recognised by the directory, partners Mary Rimmer, Sarah Gaines, Deborah Cain, Claire Williams, Robert Thompson, Graham Wallis, Mei-Ling McNab and Allis Beasley were all named as ‘leading individuals’.

Other lawyers recommended in the directory include: Alex Cosgrove, Erol Huseyin, James Bullock, Matthew Simmonds, Michael Oatham, Christopher Eriksson-Lee, Justine Sloover, Sarah Mannooch, Abigail Brightwell, Ash Jilani, Catherine Daw, Colin Smith, Lee May, Bill Butler, Helen Stonham, Sophie Spellman, Simran Sanghera, Jennifer Alderman, Mark Leeson, Sophie Read, Elliott Atkinson, James Millis, Stephen Rogers, Lacie Kerner, Paul Abdey.

Joanna Worby, Managing Partner, said: “I am thrilled to see so many of our teams and lawyers recognised by the Legal 500 once again, and in particular to see Mary Rimmer, Claire Williams and Robert Thompson recognised as leading individuals for the first time in their categories. These rankings are so important because they are heavily influenced by what our clients say about us. It’s testament to our staff’s commitment to delivering not only a high-quality service, but a warm and personable one, that we have received such high praise all round. Congratulations to all the teams for the hard work they put into delivering an impeccable service.”
