• Brachers law firm is thrilled to announce its new charity partnership for 2025 with Wishing Hearts Charity, a local organisation dedicated to supporting the elderly community in Maidstone and surrounding areas.

This exciting collaboration marks the beginning of a year filled with impactful initiatives aimed at tackling loneliness among the elderly.

    Looking Ahead: Wishing Hearts Charity

After careful consideration by Brachers’ Community Relations Committee and Executive Board, Wishing Hearts Charity was selected to be the firm’s Charity of the Year, in alignment with Brachers’ mission to support smaller, local charities.

Wishing Hearts focuses on alleviating loneliness among the elderly, particularly those affected by loss, illness, or limited accessibility. The charity funds meaningful activities such as bucket list wishes, social gatherings, and tea parties, bringing joy and connection to those in need.

    Support our first raiser

Brachers is kicking off its support with a special fundraising event. As a long-standing supporter of the Maidstone Symphony Orchestra, the firm is sponsoring a concert featuring master-violinist Callum Smart on Saturday 22 March 2025, at Mote Hall, Maidstone.

This event will raise awareness and funds for Wishing Hearts, with supporters, charity guests, clients, and contacts all invited to join.

    A Message from Wishing Hearts

Abby Wincel, Founder of Wishing Hearts, said: “We are over the moon to have the support of Brachers and can already tell that it will make a huge difference to elderly people living in Maidstone who might be struggling with loneliness from the commitment and passion shown by the team. We are really lucky to have the firm’s support and look forward to sharing how we bring joy to our service users.”

Joanna Worby, Managing Partner at Brachers, added: “We are incredibly excited to partner with Wishing Hearts Charity as our Charity of the Year for 2025. At Brachers, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back, as part of our promise to be ‘with you all the way’. Wishing Hearts’ mission to combat loneliness among the elderly resonates deeply with our values. We look forward to working together to make a meaningful impact and bring joy to the lives of those who need it most.”

Brachers is excited to embark on this new partnership and looks forward to making a positive impact in the community throughout 2025.
