  • Brachers is delighted to announce another year of successful results in The Legal 500 UK Solicitors Guide 2025 – a leading guide to law firms and solicitors.

Brachers’ legal expertise continues to be recognised by the guide, with the firm being ranked in 15 practice areas, including five top-tier rankings, and 34 lawyers recommended by the guide.

The Legal 500 has been analysing law firms across the world for over 30 years. Its directory highlights the teams and lawyers that provide the highest quality service to individuals and businesses.

The rankings reflect months of extensive analysis by The Legal 500’s research team, who seek feedback from around 300,000 clients worldwide. Many of Brachers’ clients were surveyed as part of this process.

This year, Brachers saw five practice areas maintain their ranking in the highest tier possible: Personal Tax, Trust and Probate; Commercial Property; Corporate and Commercial; Debt Recovery, and Public Sector.

Client feedback praised Brachers’ ‘exceptional and responsive personal service’, while noting that the firm demonstrates ‘a very high degree of professionalism in everything that they do’.

Of the 34 individuals recognised by the directory, partners Deborah Cain, Sarah Gaines, Mei-Ling McNab, Mary Rimmer, Rob Thompson, Graham Wallis and Claire Williams maintained Legal 500’s recognition of them as ‘leading partners’. This year, they were also joined by James Bullock and Matthew Simmonds (Corporate and Commercial), and Christopher Eriksson-Lee (Agriculture and Estates).

Other lawyers recommended by the directory include: Paul Abdey, Jennifer Alderman, Abigail Brightwell, Bill Butler, Alex Cosgrove, Catherine Daw, Abigail Eriksson-Lee, Erol Huseyin, Angela Jarvis, Ash Jilani, Lacie Kerner, Dan King, Mark Leeson, Sarah Mannooch, James Millis, Michael Oatham, Sophie Read, Stephen Rogers, Lisa Rothon, Angela Ruminski, Justine Sloover, Colin Smith, Sophie Spellman, and Helen Stonham.

Joanna Worby, Managing Partner, said: “It’s fantastic to see our teams and lawyers once again acknowledged by The Legal 500. I’m especially pleased to see James Bullock, Matthew Simmonds, and Christopher Eriksson-Lee recognised as leading partners. Legal 500 rankings are particularly meaningful as they reflect our clients’ feedback. This recognition is a testament to our staff’s dedication to providing not only high-quality service but also a warm and personable experience. Congratulations to all the teams for their hard work and impeccable service.”
