  • Brachers is delighted to announce another year of strong results in The Legal 500 UK Solicitors Guide 2026, a leading guide to law firms and solicitors.

The firm’s legal expertise continues to be recognised, with 13 practice areas ranked, including five top-tier rankings, and 32 lawyers recommended by the guide.

The Legal 500 has been analysing law firms across the world for over 30 years. Its directory highlights the teams and lawyers that provide the highest quality service to individuals and businesses.

The rankings reflect months of extensive analysis by The Legal 500’s research team, who seek feedback from around 300,000 clients worldwide. Many of Brachers’ clients were surveyed as part of this process.

This year, Brachers saw five practice areas maintain their ranking in the highest tier possible: Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate; Commercial Property; Corporate and Commercial; Debt Recovery, and Public Sector

Client feedback praised Brachers’ commitment to excellence, praising the firm for its “strong roots in the community and well-earned reputation for trust,” making it “one of the first names that comes to mind when people think about legal advice.” Clients also commended Brachers for being very client-focused and consistently delivering high performance, describing it as “a great practice combining strong client care and technical knowledge.”

Of the 33 individuals recognised by the directory, partners Christopher Eriksson-Lee, Claire Williams, Deborah Cain, Graham Wallis, James Bullock, Matthew Simmonds, Mary Rimmer, Mei-Ling McNab, Rob Thompson, and Sarah Gaines maintained Legal 500’s recognition as ‘Leading Partners’. Notably, Sarah Gaines has been recognised in two practice areas this year, retaining her ranking in Commercial Property and gaining new recognition in Agriculture and Estates.

New additions to the ‘Leading Partners’ category include Erol Huseyin and Alex Cosgrove, both recognised for their work in Corporate and Commercial.

Other lawyers recommended by the directory include: Abigail Brightwell, Abigail Eriksson-Lee, Angela Ruminski, Ash Jilani, Bill Butler, Catherine Daw, Colin Smith, Emma Hegarty, Helen Stonham, James Millis, Jennifer Alderman, Justine Sloover, Lacie Kerner, Lisa Rothon, Mark Leeson, Michael Oatham, Paul Abdey, Sarah Mannooch, Sophie Read, and Stephen Rogers.

Joanna Worby, Managing Partner, said: “It’s fantastic to see our teams and lawyers continue to be recognised by The Legal 500. This year’s rankings highlight not only the consistency of our top-tier service but also the growth and emerging talent across the firm. It’s particularly rewarding to see new individuals acknowledged and long-standing colleagues celebrated for their continued excellence. These results reflect the trust our clients place in us and the dedication our staff show every day. Congratulations to everyone involved.”
